History
& Heritage.

The Limestone Coast values and respects the significance of the stories and culture of the First Nations people of our region, the Buandig, Bindjali and Ngarrindjeri people. The world's oldest culture exists across our landscapes, people, places, stories and sacred sites.

Our early settler story is also reflected through our historic trails, towns, walks, drives, museums, churches, cemeteries and agricultural properties, featuring stories of our maritime & agriculture history, Chinese gold mining tracks, and our connection with once-local Saint Mary MacKillop.
