About
Tantanoola is a small town in regional South Australia. The name Tantanoola is derived from the Aboriginal word tentunola, which means boxwood/brushwood hill or camp. The Tantanoola Railway Station’s original buildings have been renovated and can be seen from the sheltered picnic spot opposite the Tiger Hotel Tantanoola. The Tantanoola tiger is on display inside the Tiger Hotel.
The Parklands are a designated free short-stay area for self-contained vehicles for a maximum two nights and are adjacent a playground and barbeque area, with a dump point available. Attractions located nearby include the Windfarm Tourist Drive and The Tantanoola Caves.
