The Domes at Mountain Path Meadows

12 Mountain Path Road
Mount Schank, South Australia, 5291

About

These two geodesic timber glamping domes are truly one of a kind. Sleeping up to 8 guests and set at the base of dormant volcano crater Mount Schank, the off-grid experience may be the most unique place you ever spend the night. The two domes are part of Mountain Path Meadows, a 12-acre eco-estate which also specialises in weddings, group retreats and events.

A pair of architectural wonders, the sphere-like geodesic dome structures are the pinnacle of sustainable design. As far as we know, ours are the first and only timber geodesic domes in South Australia.

Each dome features its own unique aesthetic, plus award-winning sleeping situations: ‘The Traveler’ Dome sleeps 4 in an Eva brand king size mattress with Bed Threads flax linen sheets, and a queen-size Koala brand fold out sofa bed. ‘The Birdcage’ Dome sleeps 4 in two queen size Koala fold out sofa beds. Lay in luxury looking at the stars.

Take this chance to unplug from technology (after all, there’s no Wifi out here!) and get back to the basics. The domes are hired as a pair, so the space is yours to sit back, relax and enjoy. Located at the foot of heritage listed Mount Schank, 15 minutes from Mount Gambier (South Australia’s second-largest city) and Port Macdonnell (rock-lobster capital of South Australia).
