About

Ant’s Redgum Gallery showcases the works of disabled artist, Anthony ‘Ant’ Martin & wife Hatty O’Meara. The gallery displays between 80 – 100 Australian hardwood sculptures at any one time, predominantly using Redgum, but with many other pieces using the native woods Stringybark and Sheoak.
Ant’s carvings include a variety of different subject matter. Discover reptiles, birds, mammals, heavy machinery and abstract pieces on over 1000 square metres of floor space. Ant can also be seen creating his masterpieces in his workshops just around the corner (on Lossie Rd) from the Williams Rd Gallery.
You will see a carving of a 10 foot whale from cypress pine and a seven foot carving of Jesus from almond. At the front of the gallery there is massive Gargoyle (made from the biggest single Redgum log) ,a set of three Wedge-tailed eagles eight foot tall & our Sunset Salutor ‘The Gorilla’. Phone us on 0431040553 to enquire about a tour of these magnificent carvings; every carving has a story!
Located in the centre of the Limestone Coast with Penola 50 kilometres to the north, 50 kilometres west of Mount Gambier and less than 80 kilometres from the coastal towns of Robe and Beachport, Ant’s Redgum Gallery makes a great day trip destination.
Free entry but donation box available if happy with what you have seen.
