The Bob Hawke Gallery features a collection of photographs, clippings, cartoons, paintings and memorabilia celebrating Bordertown as the birthplace of Robert J Hawke.

The portrait of Bob Hawke was painted by portrait artist Michael Henwood for entry in the 2000 Archibald Prize.

The Panther motorbike on display is thought to be Hawke’s 1939 British Panther model 100. Purchased in the 1980’s at a Bendigo swap meet by Peter Matthews and was acquired and restored by the Tatiara District Council in April 2019.

The Bronze Bust – Demetrio D’Tella’s bronze bust was gifted to Bordertown by the Giannarelli family and unveiled by his father , the late Clem Hawke on April 1987.
