About
With open lawns, shaded seating, picnic tables and public toilets, the Town Square is an inviting place to unwind. The Town Square is a central starting point for exploring Naracoorte’s heritage sites and self-guided heritage trail.
The square features the Naracoorte Soundshell and the Naracoorte War Memorial. The War Memorial invites quiet reflection on the service and sacrifice of Australians, with the surrounding paved Walk of Honour offering a meaningful way to take in the history of the region. It is also the focal point for ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day commemorations.
The Walk of Honour recognises those from the Naracoorte district who served in the First and Second World Wars, the Korean War, the Vietnam War and the Light Horse Regiment.
The accessible Naracoorte Soundshell forms the heart of community life, hosting events such as Australia Day celebrations, Christmas carols and local markets.
