Inspired by a lifelong desire to “just make jam” and encouraged by friends and family, this food journey brings together a passion for authentic cooking and sharing real food. With growing consumer interest in food traceability, the Limestone Coast stands out as a pristine region known for exceptional produce.

After searching for the right setting, the historic Woollen Mills (Worsted Mills, established 1925) in Mount Gambier was chosen as the home of this venture. The space combines heritage character with a diverse mix of neighbouring businesses, creating a unique environment grounded in history and shaped by community.

A strong focus is placed on local and Australian ingredients, with the exception of select imported spices, and on preparing food with minimal or no preservatives—continuing a tradition of honest, homemade cooking. Preserves remain a key priority, reflecting the original inspiration behind the journey and a commitment to capturing seasonal produce at its peak.

This is a deeply family-influenced project, shaped by the involvement of Lachie from the beginning, Ash’s building work, Dan’s website support, and Chris’s PR role. Built on the support of family and friends, it reflects shared values, community connection, and a commitment to nourishing food.
